NRG is looking for versatile Dump Truck Drivers

​

Duties and Responsibilities:

​

• Monitor the progress of construction activities, ensuring schedule and quality standards are met

• Take initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the team

• Operate in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize risk of injury or property damage

• Responsible for conducting pre and post operational checks and accurately complete daily operating and safety records

• Knowledge of safety rules, instructions and policies, workplace safety

• Follow truck maintenance schedule. Advise if repair is required

• Performs routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning

• Willing and able to assist labourers if needed. Perform other related tasks as assigned

Skills & Knowledge

• Class 3 (or Class 1)

• Clean drivers abstract

• Strong verbal & listening skills

• Time management skills a must

• Physically fit and able to lift 50lbs

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Ability to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines

• Must be honest, respectful, flexible and have professional work ethics

• Must be able to work without supervision and take direction from supervisor

Candidates that also possess a valid BC Class 1 license would be an asset; duties would include operating a dump truck, end dump trailer and loading/moving equipment on low-bed when needed. Scope of work is mainly in the Penticton and Summerland area.
