NRG is looking for versatile Heavy Equipment Operators

Heavy Equipment Operators will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment which may include:
excavators (all sizes), loaders, skid steer, roller, etc. Operators will use heavy equipment to perform a variety of tasks which may include: fine grading and finishing, landscaping, sloping and banking, back-filling, ditching, excavation, rough grading, sub-grade excavating, trenching, material handling, slope grooming and demolition. Scope of work is mainly in the residential sector in the Penticton and surrounding area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Read and interpret drawings, plans and diagrams to perform work

Inspect and review projects during construction, monitoring conformance with plans, specifications, and other codes and regulations

Monitor the progress of construction activities, ensuring schedule and quality standards are met

Take initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the team

Operate equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize risk of injury or property damage

Responsible for conducting pre-operational checks on equipment and accurately complete daily operating and safety records

Knowledge of safety rules, instructions and policies, workplace safety

Follow equipment maintenance schedule. Advise if repair is required
-
Performs routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning

Willing and able to labour if needed. Perform other related tasks as assigned

Physically fit and able to lift 50lbs

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Ability to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines
